Tartu Vocational Education Centre (TVEC) / Tartu Kutsehariduskeskus (TKHK)

Tartu Vocational Education Center is a regional vocational educational institution that provides pre-service and in-service education and training both for adolescents as well as adults. Tartu Vocational Education Center is a municipal vocational school. At the same time it is the biggest vocational education center in Estonia with approximately 3000 students and 270 employees (180 of them are teachers). Tartu Vocational Education Center was formed by uniting 3 vocational schools and one adult training center in 2002. Our school has 2 buildings for teaching and training, one in Kopli and one in Põllu Street.

TVEC is an acknowledged professional examinations center for several specialties, like catering, metal work, electricity, sales, IT and others.Modernization of our learning environment has been supported by different foundations and other sources, e.g. EU Phare Programme, European Regional Development Fund, European Social Fund, Leonardo da Vinci Programme, Tiger Leap Foundation, Board of Gambling Tax Estonian Ministry of Education and Research, and the City of Tartu.
